Celebrating five years of filling gardens, pockets, and bellies.

Family-owned company Plantables celebrates 5 years of filling gardens, pockets, and bellies.

Husband and wife duo Adrian & Jodi Roelands, owners of Roelands Plant Farms, a 21-acre greenhouse that propagates seedlings for production greenhouses across North America, are thrilled to announce the 5th anniversary of their latest start-up, Plantables.

5 years ago, an idea sprouted. Pairing their cutting-edge greenhouse with arguably *Canada’s top growers, they expanded their horticultural expertise to consumers across Ontario and Quebec. Having grown millions of premium plants and understanding the bountiful benefits of quality seedlings, Plantables was born.

“People everywhere are becoming more interested with where their food comes from, and how it is grown. We see that interest in gardening will continue to grow, fuelled by this consumer passion to be connected to their food’- Jodi Roelands, Founder.

During covid, there was a significant rise in home gardening (7.5% in sales across Canada), and now gardeners are ramping up again with concerns about food security and rising costs. Plantables looks forward to filling gardens, pockets, and bellies for years to come.

Celebrating & Looking Ahead:

Since 2018 Plantables has expanded its programming to offer fundraising, seeds, merchandise and now retail supply, with even further expansion planned in the near future.

“At Plantables we want to be there for gardeners, new and old, to make the process as easy as possible. By expanding our plant line-up to retail stores, we are able to get high quality plants in the hands of more gardeners, to give them the easiest road to a bountiful harvest.” ~ Adrian Roelands, Founder
